Our West Edinburgh Golf Course is easily accessible from all the main roads approaching the City.
We provide a beautiful yet challenging 18 hole, par 70 course on gently undulating terrain with spectacular views in all directions. We offer visitors a friendly welcoming atmosphere with the provision of first class, freshly prepared meals and snacks and a good selection of wines, beers and spirits in our modern and comfortable new clubhouse.
Over the past few years the Club has invested in new sand based greens that are at their best irrespective of the weather. We welcome visitors and new members to share this excellent course and our bright and modern new clubhouse with us.
The Club was founded in 1893. The course was initially laid out by Willie Park Junior, a two-times Open Champion, and was later reconstructed by James Braid, a Scottish professional golfer and a member of the Great triumvirate of the sport alongside Harry Vardon and John Henry Taylor. Braid won The Open Championship five times and was a renowned golf course architect.
No other club in the world can boast of owning the first steel-shafted clubs in golf, and visitors are free to view these treasures in the main lounge of the Clubhouse” – Andrew Maciver, Golfnow review
