Celebration of our Volunteers
On Monday 17th March the Club celebrated our huge number of volunteers with an 'evening of thanks'. Around 50 of our 90 volunteers were in attendance. No golf club can operate without the volunteers who give up their time in a variety of ways - thank you to you all!
Ladies Pre-Season Dinner
The ladies held a most enjoyable pre-season dinner on Monday 24th March, with a fantastic meal from Andrew and his team! Good preparation for the opening Women's competition on the 3rd April.
New 18th Hole
Our new 18th hole will open for play on the 3rd May, but as you can see it's coming along very nicely!
Captaincy Handover
At the end of January Gordon Brown completed his year of captaincy and handed the reigns over to John Gentles.
Our thanks to Gordon for all he's done during his year's captaincy, and all the very best to John as he commences his tenure. Finally, a warm welcome to Vice Captain, Alan Wren.
Women's Christmas Fayre
Baberton Women’s section held their annual Christmas Fayre on Thursday 5th December. The day began with a 9 hole golf competition followed by a lovely Christmas lunch in the clubhouse. The event was well attended with attendees ranging from our newest members to our oldest with 50+ years loyal membership of our club! The quiz and games caused much hilarity and the afternoon finished with carol singing from the hilarious Baberton Ladies Carol book.
Club Champions 2024
Club Championship week 2024 was a fantastic six days of golf, culminating in a superb finals day on Saturday 15th June on which our matchplay champions were crowned.

The Strokeplay Championships followed in August, on a wet and wild Sunday! Owen Brady and Karen Marshall made it a matchplay and strokeplay championship double!

Men's Edinburgh Golf League 2024
Baberton's Men's team have been playing some outstanding golf this season, winning 9 out of 10 league matches (and drawing the other) to top their group in the Edinburgh Golf League.
They now enter the knockout stages of the Cup and play Mortonhall for a place in the semi finals. Good luck gents!

Inter County Jamboree 2024
Congratulations to Rachael Livingstone and Wendy Nicholson who played their part (as player and official) in the recent Midlothian win over East Lothian. The team now goes on to compete in the Scottish Inter-County Finals trophy at Eyemouth 29th August to 1st September.
