A short par 4 to get underway. A local rule (for the safety of our neighbours) prevents going for the green off the tee, the sensible play is a lay-up short of the fairway bunkers which will leave only a short approach.

A par 5 that usually plays into the wind, making it only reachable in two for the longer hitters. Bunkers left and right guard the fairway, and another lurks just beyond the favoured lay-up spot. Be sure to keep an eye on those who may be teeing off on the third as you approach the green.

An elevated tee gives a great view of the undulating fairway ahead, if you can land your tee shot on the downslope you’ll only have a short iron in to the green.

Another short par 4 that is reachable off the tee, but with dense woodland left and tricky bunkers protecting the green, keeping the driver in the bag is the safest option.

A long, tough par 3 up the hill for the gents, and a short par 4 for the women with OB all the way up the left hand side. A par here is more than acceptable.

A good tee shot here can open up a nice approach to the green, but with thick woodland to the left a bail out right is safe but can leave a long second in to the green.

One of the toughest holes on the course, only the best tee shot will make the elevated green reachable in two. A long, two tiered green awaits. Don't leave your approach short.

A well protected par 3 with bunkers front and back, don't get too greedy, anywhere on the putting surface is good off the tee.

The front nine closes with another short par 4, the elevated green is protected by two front bunkers, and slopes back to front with a large tier. Feels like a birdie hole, but a par is never a bad thing. Watch for those teeing off on the tenth as you play your approach.

Keep the driver in the bag and leave yourself a nice full shot into the green. It feels very sheltered at the green, but swirling winds in the trees can catch you out.

The first of three par 3’s on the back nine, it plays long. A bunker flanks each side of the green, another hole you’ll be very happy to take a par on.

Another lengthy hole. The tee shot must be a good one to give you a good chance of hitting the green in two and making a birdie. The fairway cambers from left to right, so the best tee shots will need to flirt with the bunker down the left.

From the elevated tee you’ll want to try and feed your tee shot down the left to get the most run and leave a shorter approach. The elevated, tiered green is a test for even the best putters.

The shortest hole on the course, but don't be lulled in to a false sense of security. The green is protected by four bunkers, and slopes relatively steeply front back to front – you don’t want a downhill putt when a two is at stake!

The first of two successive par 5’s, usually plays downwind, a good tee shot that catches the down slope will make the green easily reachable in two.

Turning back away from the clubhouse, this par 5 usually plays into the wind and is therefore unreachable in two for most. Your short game will need to be on form to set up a birdie chance. The final 150 yards in to the green cambers heavily from left to right, so any lay up will need to be accurate.

The final par 3 is uphill and features a well sheltered green, but watch for those swirling winds again, and don’t go long and end up in Dingly Dell!
